The Influence Of Parent Parenting Patterns On Adolescent Sex Behavior

Abstract

Parents need to know that their role in adolescent sexual behavior is very important and that it is not taboo to talk about sex at home. This is to avoid children looking for incorrect information outside the home which results in children being easily swayed and easily influenced by negative behaviors that tend to damage the child's future. The purpose of this study was to determine the description and relationship of parenting patterns with adolescent sexual behavior at SMK Al Hidayah Marine Cilandak in 2022. The design of this study was cross-sectional. The sample of this research is the IX grade students of SMK Al Hidayah Marine Cilandak, South Jakarta. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with the sample size formula. The result of this study is that the majority of parenting patterns are authoritarian and the majority of respondents' sexual behavior is not at risk. There is a relationship between parenting patterns and sexual behavior in adolescents at SMK Al Hidayah Mariner, Cilandak, South Jakarta in 2022. The suggestion from this research is that schools approach parents in parenting adolescents in sex education.
